• Rocksmith Remastered comes with over 50 songs, Guitarcade modes to gamify your learning experience, online leaderboards, a streamlined interface, and much more. As a new Rocksmith user who lives somewhere that the Real Tone Cable or similar devices are really expensive or aren't avaliable at all, I couldn't get one, and wanted to use my Guitar 1/4' cable. If you're one of those, just like me, that can't find any solution on the internet, this guide is for you! If this guide helps you out, and you want to give me something for my effort, you can TL;DR is at the end of this post.
//WHAT WILL BE USED IN THIS GUIDE// • or Cable • / • • - If you have / If you have //SETTING UP THE CABLE// • CABLE CONNECTION After arranging the cable and adapter, you should connect it to your PC. You have two options on where to connect it from, line-in or microphone port (Line-in highly recommended). Prism video format converter. It's highly recommended for you to use the line-in port. It really sounds crystal clear, far better than on the microphone, where had a bunch of background noise.
Video: Rocksmith 2014 no cable patch Subtitles My channel has a video review of a cheap USB audio cable to connect a guitar to PC, and also it shows how to use this cable in Rocksmith game instead of rather expensive original Realtone cable.
• CONTROL PANEL SETTINGS Next thing you will want to do is go to your desktop, open tray, and right click the little sound icon and go to recording devices. There, disable all of your sound recording devices, unless for the guitar one. Right click the guitar's input, and go to properties>advanced and there, change the Default Format of the device to Channel 2, 16 bit(s), 48000 Hz (DVD Quality). Do the same with the sound output device you're using (TV/Headphones/Soundboxes), or there will be no audio ingame. //SETTING UP THE GAME// Go to your Rocksmith Installation folder (C: Programs Files (x86) Steam steamapps common Rocksmith2014 by default). • EDITING THE.INI You should now edit your.ini.
Be careful that the.ini provided in this guide has the following settings that may cause crash issues: • ScreenWidth=1920 • ScreenHeight=1080 Be sure to change these lines for your screen's default resolution. • ROCKSMITH.INI FILE DETAILS There are two major sections to the Rocksmith.ini file. The first controls the audio settings of Rocksmith 2014, where you can Edit those depending on your issues or prefferences (its prefferable to use the one provided in the guide).
• NO CABLE PATCH Place the No Cable Patch executable on the game's main folder. Put a shortcut of the No Cable Patch executable on the desktop, if you prefer, and launch it. Then launch your game and let the No Cable Patch running on background. After the game launch, //TL;DR// • 1 - Buy a suitable adapter for your cable; • 2 - Plug the cable either to your line-in or microphone port; • 3 - Mute all the other recording devices, but the guitar and configure it (and your sound devices aswell) to Channel 2, 16 bit(s), 48000 Hz (DVD Quality); • 4 - Go to your installation folder, update your Rocksmith.ini to this; • 5 - Download the No Cable Patch[pastebin.com] and place it on your installation folder aswell; • 6 - Launch the Patch and then the game; • 7 - If you experience issues, come back and check the FAQ session.
//FINAL WORDS// At first you may encounter some noise issues, go around the options menu and configure in-game audio, and you're fine! I would like to add that this is a workaround if you can't really get the cable. If you can, go ahead and get one.
