I have been thru terrible experience over the last 4 days with EL 'support' exactly the same as other posts - 1 mindless script, the only solution offered is for me to be down 1-2 weeks and spring for a new modem to replace the speadstream 5667 on which all lights except pwr are flashing. Which I can only buy from them. I have a Zoom X6 model 5590-00-03, and have heard it can be used successfully with EL, and I have set it up with as much info as I have, including the setup of the PPPoE. I can get to maybe 1 site (v e r y s l o w l y), and one grab of e-mail, then it will only work intermittently. When monitoring from the modem page (10.0.0.2), the WAN status shows an address for PPPoE for a few seconds (8 specifically), then changes to 0.0.0.0 again.
The log reflects the same. Here is what the modem diagnostics say: The modem has completed the diagnostic test. Result: aborted Test: user's PPP connection Diagnostic: configuration changed during test The modem has failed the diagnostic test. Sometimes it says PPP connection dead. Can you help?
