DESCRIPTION We're uploading the character we used to do most our 1.1 update videos for you guys to use for PvP and some end game content if you wish to skip all of the earlier stuff.
So yeah, a crash took everything, anyone know of a good way to spawn items so i can get everything i lost back that's worth retrieving? And in case you're wondering, i checked both steam's terraria folder and the one that holds characters and worlds in the users section, nothing to be found but possibily what world i used for hosting servers.
Even tried verifying the game, didnt do much either but re-download a single file though that, of course, didn't get me my stuff back. Edit: All fixed now, thanks. Yeah certainly wouldnt hurt having a few newer components that dont lag on me so much, from looking around a fair bit earlier, it might be some weird mechanical issue with the hard drive or its wires or whatever it uses.
With Tor, you are only using the exit node once and changing it after every vote. I know there aren’t enough exit nodes to allow you to vote indefinitely like I was able to, but you could modify the script to vote like 500-1000 times a day, which would probably be plenty for you to win the vote you are trying to rig. I did not write any formal code or even need to compile anything. I would recommend doing something similar to what I did and even use Tor. I actually wrote a bash script that allowed me to take advantage of the http post that the PollyDaddy poll was using in order to register a vote. Polldaddy script.
The computer can load stuff fine, but the hard drive or something wont let it do any hard work at all, intensive programs are kept at minimal usage in task manager when loading in stuff, weirdly enough. Loading takes forever like this, the more intense it is, the better chances on it freezing for a while until its done loading. If i where any less of a patient person i doubt i would still be using this computer today.:P Weirdly enough this didnt used to be an issue when the computer was still relatively new, though i'm no expert on assembling them, at best i occasionally switched a sound card or something simple, god knows where any wires would need to go for fancier stuff. Hm, might as well poke my head in there at some point and double-check any wires and things connected to the removable hard drive.
Maybe its a horrendously slow usb-style connection to the hard drive? Or however these things work. Eh well i rambled on too much here anyway, but i guess if anyone has an idea of what the problem might be and how to fix it i'm all ears. (Like i said, i'm not great with assembly though, so if you can keep it easy.:P).
Hm, a possibility but not the most likely thing ever, i dont download that much at all. The slowness is more an issue of the processor not doing anything at all when it SHOULD be doing something, being physically held back somehow from doing its job. Or something along those lines, task manager basically reports like 99% processing power still available despite running something relatively intense like a game, even when its kind of stuck loading something. Hm, a good thing most of my games arent very demanding graphically, or the computer may have not survived this long.:P. Depends on what problem, if you mean getting the lost items back, i used the inventory editor linked in earlier posts in the topic to edit the items of value i lost back into a new character's inventory. It even allowed me to edit my max HP to what i had before as well as the amount of mana.
If you mean the crazy lag problem, well thats still a problem, occasionally, but its far less worse now fortunately. Hm, for all the♥♥♥♥♥♥people are giving inventory editors they cant deny it has legitimate uses such as recovering a lost character by recreating it, items and all. Or just plain for people building large-scale things constantly.
