Play the classic, ad free games you loved from Windows 7 (along with Mahjong Titans, Chess Titans and Purble Place from Windows Vista) on computers running Windows 8 and Windows 10. Winaero (who has quite a nice collection of useful free Windows utilities and programs, check them out) has packaged these great games into one downloadable file that will run on Windows 8 and 10. Complete directions are on the page - download and extract the.zip file to install the program, then choose any or all of these games: Games: • Chess • FreeCell • Hearts • Mahjong • Minesweeper • Purble Place • Solitaire • Spider Solitaire Internet Games: • Internet Backgammon • Internet Checkers • Internet Spades Note: When you click on the download link, you'll be taken to separate page to download the program. There's a large ad on the page, with the download link (labeled 'Download Windows 7 games for Windows 10') directly below the ad. The program file is too large to be uploaded to VirusTotal, but WOT rates the site as safe and the file scanned free of malware using multiple anti-virus programs on my Windows 8.1 system. Please rate this article. @aaronb: 150 Mbytes is not too much when you have seen the number of system libraries that have to come with it. Just think: These programs all use libraries that are part of Windows 7 but not in Win 8 or 10.

Purble Place is a suite of three computer games for children and teenagers Developed by Oberon Games for Microsoft, it was introduced in Windows Vista and also is included in Windows 7.

And you fear of viruses is understandable but in this case definitely not warranted. I have it on all our five computers at home and on dozens of customer machines. Avtech 4 channel dvr password reset.

None of the (IMHO at least) best cleaner-upper programs has ever found anything after installing and/or using these programs. Hand on my heart.

• or to post comments. You're quite welcome.:) I found the games when I downloaded the Winaero utility that tweaks Windows 8.1. I had used it before and wanted to use a few of the tweaks after a recent hard drive failure and subsequent re-installation of Windows 8.1. I had a full hard drive backup but decided a clean installation of Windows 8.1 would be fun, and a fresh install seems to make Windows snappier and more responsive. I was looking around their site to see what other programs they had and found the games.

I liked them so much I thought others would too. • or to post comments.

@danielson: You write 'For some reason, it didn't come along with the installation'. I am not sure about Windows 7 Starter (or Basic?) but from Home on upwards the games are there; they just have to be installed like this: 1. Control Panel 2.

Programs and Features 3. Turn Windows features on or off (left side bar) 4.

Find Games and put check mark into the little square 5. Click Okay 6. Close Programs and Features Maybe you have to log off/on or even to restart the system, I don 't know any more (too long ago.) • or to post comments.
