Line 6 Pod Hd400Pod

Okay okay, maybe not the most exciting thing to hear about, but I am very impressed none the less. I picked up this amp from Musciansfriend the other day so I could have an amp to leave at our practice space. (Got sick of lugging my 90 pound rack around). So I started looking around for micros and other smaller, less expensive amps.

I wanted something that had some real 'omph' behind it, and was very versatile. Network magic pro v5.5.9195 serial. I saw the GK Micro and Ampeg Micro VR, but neither really have any features or that much power. Then I found the Low Down HD400. Wow, this thing sounds amazing! Let's start off with the price. This amp is now discontinued, for reasons unbeknownst to me. While in production they ran for $599.99.

(Best Buy and Sam Ash have them for $399.99 right now.) That alone sounds like a deal to me. This beast just sounds great too. It has 5 amp models and a synth setting, (all from the Line 6 Floor Pod). They are all very well done and very useable, nothing ridiculously overkill that you can't use. You then have the option of saving 4 presets (36 with foot switch) and run them through 400 watts.

I think this amp is so well done, especially for the new price. 300 bucks for a Line 6 pod and 400 watts is one of the best deals I have ever seen. I don't know how many more Musiciansfriend have in stock, but I think if you need a good stand alone amp or one with a enough power for most gigs, you need to look into this one. I highly recommend to anyone! Thanks for listening! EDIT: I totally forgot that the HD400 also has a built in tuner, which works pretty well, and three built in effects.

Line 6 POD HD400 Demo Line 6 POD HD400 Review 4 Admin 2015-06-11 23:31:11 If Goldilocks were to choose a Line 6 POD HD series pedal, she would undoubtedly moan about the abundance of pedal switches and the sheer mass of the 500 and whine about the relative daintiness of the 300.

The Filter, based after a Q-Tron, is pretty decent, nothing special but okay for practicing. The octiver, based after the EBS Octabass, is kinda worthless, can't track well at all. Does work with the Synth though. The Chorus, based on the TC Electronic Chorus, is pretty decent as well. Not great, but could work. I think that with all of this built into one amp, there is nothing better for the price.

POD HD400 represents a giant leap forward for amp modeling. It is the only multi-effect pedal that boasts 16 brand-new state-of-the-art Line 6 HD amp models, 90+ modern and vintage-styled M-class effects, and a comprehensive digital and analog I/O. HD amp modeling: sound and feel like never before HD amp models defy the accepted standard. They feel, behave, and interact with previously unachievable realism.

Creating these new HD amp models was no small feat. We mixed 15 years of amp modeling experience with 3 years of new research and development to build an entirely new amp modeling technology from the ground up. During that time, we hunted down 16 incredible amplifiers and -- with the help of LA's top tube amp experts -- restored each one back to peak condition. The new modeling technology uses 10-times more amplifier information than before, including single-ended class A tube stages, class AB push/pull interactions, power supply behavior, and more. The result is unprecedented, warmth, feel, sustain, and articulation for you to fall in love with.

Tube amp fanatics have long enthused that their favorite stacks and combos aren't merely 'amps,' but instruments themselves, with playability equal to that of the guitar plugged into them. New HD modeling takes the POD HD experience to that same exalted level, capturing the genuine playability that great guitarists demand. Your amp collection--now in HD! On the menu is a collection of freshly modeled amps, many of which are brand-new to POD, and all of which are essential for performing guitarists who require a wide variety of tones in one streamlined, multi-FX-sized package.
