Sussamb and babj615, thanks for the tips on JaVaWa. I tried it, but my OSM map still doesn't show in BaseCamp. JaVaWa recognizes the map and says it is visible in BaseCamp, but it isn't. SO, in BaseCamp, you can see the map name in the left window under your device? Does a small green progress bar run along under the title of the map indicating it is being indexed?

Also, when you say it does not show in BaseCamp, are you referring to the menu under the device name in the left window, or are you referring to the drop down menu list of maps, or perhaps you mean the map shows in both of those places but not on the map screen? Putting aside the continued plugs for the Montana wiki and getting back to magoo0903's original question, what is the.img file that you have, and where did you get it? I just about had enough of that already.

Tim told me if I could answer a question with a simple text response, to do so. IF the answer was much more complicated than what could be put into text, I can link to the Wiki where the information is explained with graphical aids. No person is plugging anything. I am only trying to help a user figure out why certain maps are not displaying properly in BaseCamp. I have many responses elsewhere in these forums with NO LINK or LINKS TO OTHER webpages with pertinent information. I will be more than happy to delete this entire forum from my bookmarks and never come back again. I downloaded the OSM NA map from this site a couple of weeks ago:.

I selected the NA map generated by Ben Konrath. It works fine on the Oregon, just not in BaseCamp.

Maybe it got corrupted in download or maybe I installed it incorrectly (I just copied the downloaded.img file over to the SD card). This afternoon, I tried the other NA map on that site, the one generated by Dave Hansen. The Hansen map works on both the Oregon and BaseCamp! The other interesting thing is that address lookup now works (sort of) for the first time on my Oregon.

Address lookup did not work with either the Topo 100K map that came with the Oregon or with the Konrath OSM map. It would prompt for 'State' and would return 'No Results Found' no matter what was entered. With the Hansen OSM map, the Oregon prompts for Country, City, House # and street. The map does not seem to have house number data, but at least the search works and takes you to the correct street.
