I have two ASA 5505's - A couple months ago, I requested a temporary license for the 'Anyconnect for Mobile' - I loaded it on one of my ASA's which was running 8.2.5 at the time. About three weeks ago, I decided to upgrade my ASA firmware to version 8.4.(4)1. During the upgrade process, my flash evidently became corrupted. I basically had to erase everything and boot from ROMMON mode. I noticed that after I erased my FLASH and upgraded to the new code, my security plus license was no longer in effect. My ASA was running a base license. After digging through many emails I finally came across my SecPlus license key and reapplied it.
Well, here we are three weeks later and everything is running strong. The only peculiar thing (and maybe I'm missing something) is that the Cisco AnyConnect for Mobile license has been 'STUCK' at 90 days. Skull fist chasing the dream rar.
License Upgrade on Cisco ASA 5505 (or 5500) The Cisco reseller will request to have the ASA 5505 serial number of your firewall which you can find by executing the “ show version ” command. After that, the Cisco reseller will provide you with a license key which is a long hexadecimal string (e.g e02888da 4ba7bed6 f1c123ae ffd8624e).
